Fusion Cell values
This is it. These are the things that really matter when we get down to it. The stuff right at the heart of every cell group; the reason why Cambridge Fusion exists as a movement.
Across the cell groups in Cambridge you will find differences in personality, theology, meeting style and content, structure, activities - but the values behind them all are the same.
Fusion's Fusion because the folk who lead it - at every level - care about these things. Values are caught when people get inspired, not lectured to, so this isn't just a tick list of goals.

The values
Jesus at the centre
While Fusion is open to anyone who wants to come along, it is unashamedly a Christian movement.
Our leaders at all levels are Christians. By that, we mean that they believe that Jesus is all important.
We do not have this value because we're a Christian movement and we had to say that, but because we really believe that Jesus is awesome! So big that words run out; Saviour, Redeemer, revolutionary. He loves us and transforms us. His life, his death, his resurrection and his return are central in Fusion cells, as are his teaching, his example, his presence and his relationship with us.
Real community
Fusion cells start and end with groups of friends who really love each other.
Cell groups work towards relationships that are real, open, honest, supportive and kind. They can be mighty eclectic groups of people, but every member is valued, every member is needed and without them the cell is less. It’s not about everyone agreeing or being right all the time, but discovering more about God and life together; about people believing in and looking out for each other.
Outward-focussed
Cell groups are not only about encouraging each other. They are also about sharing the good news within the colleges and the city.
Fusion cells are convinced that they've got something good that is for sharing with anyone who is interested. They're not just about being Christian’s together in a room somewhere, but being part of a college and loving it. In fact, cell isn't the bible study and pizza on Monday night, it's the group of people - so cell happens in the bar and the library seven nights a week.
Our ethos of mission is fourfold in the way we seek to be living witnesses in our colleges, being based around Mercy, Influence, Lifestyle and Evangelism.
Everyone involved
Everybody in the group has a part to play and a contribution to make.
People get a chance to try new things, discover hidden talents, and work things out in a safe environment. We want to release people’s potential and resource them to make a different where and how they feel called to.
Everyone growing
Cells are places where you learn new things, where you are stretched spiritually, and you become more of the unique individual who God made you to be.
This does not mean we are interested in people better Christians – we are interested in God working in people’s lives. A key ingredient in seeing that happen is a dedication to scripture and to prayer.
Full of the Spirit
Fusion Cambridge exists because a group of students are convinced that the Spirit of God is calling them. Within cells, this means that there is an openness to and a reliance on God's Spirit actively working in the group. We believe that the fruits and gifts of the Spirit were not something just for the early church, but that they are for us today too.
